To access the low pressure port you have to remove the right front wheel and inner fender.
2008 mustang ac low pressure switch location.
The high pressure service gauge port valve is located on the lh top of the condenser core.
Jdm swapped the engine awhile back and never even noticed the ac was not working since i was not using it.
The location of the refrigerant pressure sensor can differ a lot between car models and depending on whether you are going to replace the high or low pressure sensor.
Check out the diagrams below.
The low pressure switch is located on the low side line on the passenger s side left of the strut tower.
Check the pressure of the air conditioning system by attaching a low pressure gauge from a refrigerant recharge kit to the low pressure fitting located between the accumulator and the compressor and marked with a capital l according to aa1 car on an 80 degree day the low pressure gauge should measure 56 psi pounds per square inch or higher.
Is the low port for ac service located on the drivers side of the engine on 97 f250 extended.
Any ideas and does anyone know the location of the high pressure switch.
The pressure is just static whether i measure it at the low or high side.
But with 95 degrees.
This allows the suction pressure inside the suction accumulator to control the operation of the a c cycling switch.
But usually the sensors are most often located in the engine bay or under the front on the ac condenser on the front of the car.
A valve depressor located inside the threaded end of the a c cycling switch presses in on the schrader valve stem.
There are both high pressure and low pressure switches.
Some vehicles are equipped with just a high pressure switch while others have both.
Here are both high and low side pressure sensors so you can see how the system works.
I am trying to find the low side port to to top off freon on my daughters 2008 v6 mustang.
The electrical switch contacts open when the suction pressure drops to 152 193 kpa 22 28 psi.
Incorrect pressure can damage the compressor hoses and other a c system components.
I have jumped the relay low pressure switches and still the ac blows warm air.
When i jump the clutch relay for the compressor it blows cold.
Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the suction accumulator.
Air conditioning pressure switches are designed to protect the a c system against pressure that is too high or too low.
I was hoping to jumper the low side switch and see if that is the problem.
I was thinking that a connector might be unplugged.
The only port i see low answered by a verified ford mechanic.
