2008 Jeep Wrangler Security Light Flashing

I have a blinking circular red light flashing on my instrument panel.

The security light flashes when i try to turn the ignition on insted of starting it kills all of the power to the jeep. But i doubt mine were there long enough. Any sugestions on why it would do this. I don t know why it was flashing could be a dead battery but the jeep is brand new got it in may of this year.
